Taurachtrail WALK -13,3 km | 440 hm

Trail and walk competition

The Taurachtrail combines sections of the Fanningberg and Gensgitschtrails to form a 13.3-kilometre route with an elevation gain of just 440 metres. It starts together with the Fanningbergtrail in the historic centre of Mauterndorf. Passing stately town houses and the Fleischbrücke bridge, the route leads on foot past the imposing Mauterndorf Castle and climbs through the districts of Stampfl and St. Gertrauden towards Fanningberg. After an initial climb through the forest down to Seitling, the trail crosses the floor of the Weißpriachtal valley before a technical climb leads to the Hubertuskapelle chapel.

From Mariapfarr, the trail continues along steep forest and high-altitude paths with fantastic views of the Taurach Valley. Via Lintsching and the idyllic Fuchskogelmoos, you finally reach St. Andrä, where the last refreshment station awaits. The Taurachtrail offers varied terrain with asphalt sections, forest trails, roots and serpentines – perfect for anyone who wants to combine scenery, challenge and trail fun.

The finish line is here in St. Andrä.

The WALK competition is aimed at all Nordic walkers who want to take on a sporting challenge.
