Gensgitschtrail - 37 km | 2.035 hm

Individual and team competitions

The Gensgitschtrail is 37 kilometres long and covers 2035 metres in altitude. It starts in Mariapfarr and, after a steep climb, leads through forests and meadows with beautiful views of the Taurach Valley. The trail continues via Lintsching and a quiet moor to St. Andrä, where the first refreshment stop is located. From there, the trail leads over the Wiesberg and fantastic single trails to the Vordereck and up to the Wildbachhütte, where you can take a break. After a descent through Lessach, the route continues towards Prebersee, with breathtaking views of the moorland landscape.The Panorama Trail, the highlight of the trail, leads over varied single trails and forest tracks up to the Preberhalterhütte and offers breathtaking views of the Preber region and the Preber summit. After another section, the trail leads downhill to the Grazer Hütte and then down to the Prebersee before the last few metres lead to the finish at the Ludlalm.

The team competition is a combined score from the Gensgitschtrail and Prebertrail and is contested by teams of two.
